I have a somewhat faint memory of an article in MR that described how to convert a small 2-axle diesel loco in HO(?) to a narrow gauge O-scale work/utility/switcher. I think the heading was something along the lines of “Little Critters” but I am not sure … [:(]
I have browsed through my magazines of the past three years but have not been able to find the article, I am not even sure I am looking for the right thing…?..
I know my question is a “bit loosely” defined but maybe someone with a better memory can help me out?! [:)]
I remember a few articles about those kind of conversions. Most of them involve making a taller cab, making new hand rails or moving the stock ones higher & larger exhaust stack along with “0” gauge headlight & bell. jerry
I do recall an article like you are describing. I think it was fariely recent, but ‘fairly recent’ to me could be 5 years ago - or even older if I just happened to be re-reading some of my older issues. The good news is the index is coming back so you’ll be able to find out exactly when it was. Such an article DOES exist, I know I’ve read it myself.
