Hi all, I am looking for some one to do some custom paint work for me, what I want is to have one of the Kato N Scale #4449 Daylight locos turned into a #4449 Freedom Train, so does anyone know of some one who is good at custom painting? also does anyone have any idea what something like this will cost me? please let me know and thanks in advance for any info.

You are looking at about 200 dollars for that paint job. As well, you will have to find an UNDEC shell as the Kato plastic doesnt take kind to stripping.

Ok guys does no one know of any one doing custom paint work? this post has had 90 views and only one reply so far and my feelings are getting hurt here! please help out a fellow brother of the rails, thanks.

Shoot this guy an email, see if he can tackle this job. Not many painters deal with the small N scale stuff. Most are HO or larger Good Luck. Mike http://www.emperortrains.com/
Bad news:
[quoteuser=“Emporor Trains”]
N SCALE ONLY Diesel locomotives and Passenger cars. Please contact…

Worse news: were it me, I’d say got o the LHS, and pick up a rattle can of Primer Grey and one of a gloss white, andorder a set of decals from someone, except I can;t find decals for the AFT from anyone. Accuen has a complete set in HO, but nodda in N. You may be hosed, I’m afraid.
Thank you David B for the info, and thank you Climaxpwr for the site link, although it says diesels only maybe I could beg and plead or something, also to Flashwave, believe me the thought to attempt this has crossed my mind, the only thing stopping me is the total lack of the skills needed to do this even sorta well, and yes Bea Hosed and I are old freinds I am affraid! and thanks for the ideas.

Try this link. John had done an engine for me some years ago when he was still in NY state. Also had seen much of his work at the time and it was always impressive.
