Looking for help with a Williams horn problem

Picked up a new Williams Dash 8. It constantly makes a noise that I can only assume is a broken, stuck on horn. I have other Williams units and it’s not the horn sound, just a loud feedback type sound. It is not triggered or stopped by the horn button. Is there is an easy fix for that?

Only advice I can give you is, call Williams and they should correct the problem. I have done this and they responded quickly.

Pop,

If memory serves me, don’t you have the Lionel CW80 transformer? Just a guess, but it could be that whole switch the red and black wire thing. If you are using something else, not sure what to tell you, but if it is the CW80, try the wire switching.

If you are using DCS and a variable channel. The chopped sign wave will cause some williams sound boards to be activate constantly.

WILLIAMS RECOMMENDS TRANSFORMERS WITH 90 WATTS OR MORE. If you have any accessories or pass cars with lights, you are sucking the wattage out of the transformer.

If you have the constant voltage hooked up, this will also drain the transformer. [:(]
