Did you have

I have a 24’x24’ around the room HO layout, and have made hundreds of deciduous trees, (and shrubs), from florist’s green Styrofoam blocks , or from ground up packing Styrofoam. I put chunks into a coffee bean grinder, and then soak the granules in bulk, in various flat geen or Fall color latex paint. One can either spread them out to dry as individual granules, or in “clumps”. I have been very satisfied with the resulting trees ,(made with stained double ended toothpick trunks, green painted furnace filter circles, adhesive spray (before and after sprinkling on the foam canopy of leaves. By first drilling hundreds of holes in the mountainous “Sculpmold terrain” and then spraying the terrain, the holes have been lined with spray. I change the tight canopy of tree color with the seasons. Below is a photo of a tiny portion of the foliage. Left over furnace filter scraps, can be sprayed with adhesive and dragged through piles of various colored foam granules, (placed on a sheet of foam, or waxed paper). One can then scrape up clumps of the adhesive sprayed left overs, to form shrubs. One can also purchase large bags of Fall colored lichens, to pull apart and use for shrubs.
