I would like to obtain model B units, powered or dummy, to use with my Illinois Central P2K E6 and E8/9 model A units. Did or does anyone sell these B units? Thanks.

Contact Walthers, since they own Life Like, and ask them if they’re planning on releasing any more “Es” in the IC scheme. Number is 1-800-487-2167. According to the listing, the Es in the IC scheme will be discontinued when sold out. See if they still have any in stock. The E8 A&B set lists at $195.
I know the dilemma you’re in. Sorry to tell you but if discount hobby shops and Walthers are sold out of them, your best route to take seems to be Ebay. I have seen IC E units on bid there before.
Winning prices vary widely for new P2K E units on Ebay. I’ve seen E units go for as little as $40(super), average about $50 to $75 (good) and as much as $200 (Ouch!).
Late last year, I won a P2K ACL E8 set; A-powered & B-powered for $90 which was a good deal,considering it was two powered units. So keep checking Ebay regularly.
