Looking for Images/Pics of Polk's Hobby Store in N.Y.C. 1960's or earlier

Merry Christmas everyone. I’m having a severe bout of nostalgia and would really like to see and have in my personal “collection” some pics of Polk’s 5 story Hobby Shop in N.Y. C. I spent many happy “hooky” hours in “The City” (I lived in N. semi-rural N.J.) there, in the 1960s. I haven’t been able to find any of the building’s exterior/street shots or of the train floor’s interior. I would dearly love to relive those days and share them with my best Buddy, Billy G. if anyone knows where I could find something. I’m also interested in seeing the original Ramsey N.J. HiWay Hobbies (I believe)Hobby shop building’s exterior/interior. I’ve forgotten their name now, but they’re still a brick and motar store and mail order/online shop. Many a happy memory there with my father. I’ve tried emailing them for any archival photos they might be willing to share (twice over the years) but no response. At an age when I’m losing old buddies (permanently :-(, it would be great to revisit those places in photos. Thanks if anyone knows of a link or has something in their own collections they’d be willing to post here or email me priavately- and best wishes for a very Happy New Year everyone!

Have you tried the Aristo-Craft forum?

Contact Polk’s and ask if they have some you can purchase, or perhaps they’ll send you some freebies. Polk’s now owns Aristo-Craft.

Yes, I contacted Polk’s but haven’t gotten a response yet. I wasn’t aware of the forum (missed it on their site) so will ask there. I’ve contacted the Ramsey Hi WAy Hobbies a couple of times through their site and suggested posting a pic would be fun for old customers, but no reply after two attempts several months apart, so gave up.>P< I actually had pictures of the Polks’ N.Y. store but lost them (and the house) in a house fire 30 years ago.>P< Thanks for bringing the forum to my attention and i’ll try that.
