Burlington northern FP7. I know they had only 3 of them, and only could find pics of them sitting still in a yard. What I need to know is what BN used them for because I know the E units was used for passenger service in Chi Town, then later replaced by Metra F40PH. If any one have any kind of Pics showing them in use and what was the consist BN used in regards to the FP7, Or information regarding them would be a big help.
I’m wanting to assign my BN FP7 to passenger service pulling the IHC/ Rivarossi smoothside passenger cars. Would that be prototypical? Sure some would say I could do whatever I choose, but I would like to have a definitive prototypical consist weather they acctually pulled passenger or Frieght or both.
Thanks in advance
BN only had two of them, both ex-NP.

And, as far as utilization of the FP7s, they might have been used briefly in the
very early 70s on the occasional passenger train, but they were quickly relegated
to secondary freight service. The 726 carried the number 9794 right after the
merger (BN’s passenger series numbers) but was renumbered in 1973. The
9792 was wrecked in the early 70s, hence its’ early retirement.
As mentioned, there were 2 ex-NP passenger FP7’s - No dynamic braking. They were purchased for local passenger service. After Amtrak, they were renumbered and put into freight service along with the rest of the passenger ‘F’ unit fleet that was not sold to Amtrak.
