the maumee and western runs from defiance to liberty center ohio on former wabash track very slowly.the crossing in defiance was severed by csx when predecessor indiana hi-rail was going through bankruptcy.the line from defiance to cecil was embargoed because of poor track conditions.there still is a dispute for csx to put the diamond back in in a hearing with the surface & transportation board.alot of customers on the maumee and western are being overcharged by csx and ns on both ends of the line.they have 3 engines.a rebuilt gp11(ex ic) a cf-7(ex sante fe) and a gp 9 (ex bn).hope this information helps.

The Wabash Central operates on former NKP main that originally ran from Frankfort, IN to Belleview, OH. Today it connects with NS’s New Castle District at Bluffton, IN, another former NKP branchline that is now a mainline. (ironic isn’t it?). The WC runs east to Craigville, IN. Track east of there through Decatur and the state line was removed a couple of years ago. To the west, WC runs through Liberty Center, Warren and Van Buren, IN. West of Van Buren the track is embargoed and somewhere west of Marion, IN the track has been removed. Motive power is a couple of GP10’s (ex IC GP9’s that were rebuilt, No 6 in an Operation Lifesaver scheme and No 12. Oddly, both face west instead of one facing each way.
There are two websites to go to for information about Michigan shortlines.
Each website has a distinct format.

www.rr-fallenflags.org has a couple of photos of East Jordan & Southern Ry No. 6 (2-6-0). Used to run between East Jordan and a connection with PM(C&O) at Bellaire.
Toledo Angola and Western was in toledo ohio. i think it ran from douglas road to silica ohio. It was only 8 or 10 miles long. Now it is a bike trail called Univercity parks trail. I think it folded in 1980 or so.
Did you find any info about the Toledo, Angola and Western Ry? I am writing the history on the line, in case you want any more info. I will look thru my list of per diem statements to see if I have any of them. YOu forgot about Toledo, and Indiana an electric train.
