Hey folks!
I just got back into the hobby last year after a about 25 yr dormancy. I’m currently painting & weathering HO scale rolling stock to appear as prototypical as possible!
I visited a LHS for the 1st time last week, & they had old bound store copies of MR-I browsed the 1980 vol, & in the Sept issue, I found, & saw for the 1st time in many years (since my copy has been missing for a long time) my “mention” in the “Student Fare” section! Blew me away seeing that as it did the 1st time I saw it, since I was 14 then, & 40 now.
Was just curious-anyone around here now that may have been in there back then & stayed with it, or (like me) got out of it & got back in? There was some kinda notable teens as I recall, but since I don’t have the issues at hand to name names (I’d know them when I saw them tho) like I said-curious, & would like to see how far they’ve come model railroading-wise! (as opposed to me!)
