Looking for Presidents Choice 2-10-2, da_kraut can you help?

[#oops] I seemed to have crossed like ships in the night on this with da_kraut. If you are reading this, I sent you an e-mail about getting more info on those PC 2-10-2’s that where still in your local store.

Lets see if we can try again. I will be away until Tuesday (at the PNE, YEA HAW [oX)] [dinner] [:P] ) but will follow up then.

Thanks.

Hi Pathfinder,

today I was at the Zehrs in Kitchener at River road and Ottawa, here is the address:

Zehrs Markets

1005 Ottawa Street North

Kitchener, Ontario N2A 1H1

This store has about 20 2-10-2 train sets available and also about 10 from the previous year. I hope this helps.

Thank you

Frank

Thanks, thats great! I will see what I can do. Our neighbour is the assistant manager at the local Extra Foods, maybe he can see about brining one of each in [:)]

If not, a direct call to them will be in order.

Hello again,

went to the store and spoke with one of the managers. It was said that it is best to call during the week next week and talk to Larry. Larry is a manager at the Zehrs store at Ottawa and River in Kitchener. The phone number of the store is 519-893-7930.

Hope that this does not violate any forum rules and also that this helps out.

Thank you

Frank

Hi I have one of those PC 2-10-2s would any info you have help to install a decoder.

Actually the decoder is the easy part I’ll get back to you.

Fergie

The PC 2-10-2 do NOT have plug and play DCC. You have to hardwire the decoder in.

[bow] Thanks, helps a great deal.

I have also just replied to your e-mail from the 25th, hope you get it. Sorry for the delay in responding, we were out of town at the PNE in Vancouver.

I was just doing our weekly grocery run and was told that the local store can not ask for product to be shipped from another store, I will have to do it directly so the contact info will be very helpful.

I heard of guys driving all over parts of Canada and buying bunches of these at a time, so some guys must have boxes of them stashed in their basements.

Yah… And your point would be? Sorry Dave just having a poke at cha! Because it’s not plug and play doesn’t mean it’s hard, just tedious at best. Actually I went with a Tsunami and it still wasn’t too hard, just really tedious.

Hard is when you land up calling tech support as the manual has you befuddled.
