Hey, I am trying to remember where I purchased the sheet foam for my hon3 layout that I built last year (by the way I am thinking of selling it if anyone is interested) It was either Menards or Home Depot but we also have a Lowes here in Des Monies too. Can anyone steer me in the right direction Please[8D]

Randy–Home Depot used to sell the Corning sheet foam (pink) some time ago. I don’t know what it’s like in Iowa, but here in California, you can’t get it anymore. Something about it being hazardous to the environment or something–I guess it threatened the Spotted Owl or the Sacramento Valley Snail. Anyway, lots of luck.

Both should have it. You are thinking about selling eh…hmmmmmm? e-mail me about your selling please
Here in Oregon, The Home Depot sells the foam your looking for. Do you have a Loews in your area? Try them they also might have what you need.
If I were you, I would go to The Home Depot. There prices on the foam are very reasonable. Hope this works. Do you have any “N” scalestuff that you want to sell??

Randy;
Menards stocks extruded foam in thickness from 1/2" to 2" in 4’ x 8’ sheets, typically at better prices than the national chains.
well I went to Home Depot and found both kinds of the foam. They had the tight pink foam and the more loose white foam. The pink was 19.97 a piece and the white was 9.97(for two inch thick 4 by 8 sheets), so guess which one that I when with? I am going to cover the foam with plaster cloth so the rougher grain of the foam doesn’t bother me, and getting four sheets for the price of two of the pink pleases the miser in me[swg]

Well my HD and Lowes do not have it here
just got the 3/4 inch stuff
They dont even stock it I guess they could special order it
I will stick to cardboard strips and plaster cloth.
