looking for southern sd9 pictures

i’m looking for a few southern rr sd9 pictures. i’ve looked everywhere & i can’t find anything. i have found a few norfolk southern sd9 pictures & that’s what i’ll do if i can’t find any for the SRR. life-like had a proto 2000 southern sd9, but i can’t even find pictures of it. any pictures or links would be very helpfull. thanks

ps, here is my first southern sd40-2 high hood job. it’s not much, but it’s the first train i’ve ever done.

i am not a big southern railway fan but someone else might be able to confirm my suspicions.

did the southern buy any 6 axle road switchers before the SD-24?

just because some outfit sold a model in that paint scheme does not make it so.

p.s. your first effort looks pretty good to me.

Central of Georgia had an SD7 and six SD9s that went to Southern. Did you try looking for Central of Georgia SD9s?

Look at the numbers 201-207 for Southern and Central of Georgia SD7 and SD9.

The Southern SD9 went to the AW&W and were there in until recently I believe they are in Booneville , Indiana on a shortline . I think one may have gone the Indiana Southern as far as photos I beleive there is a Southern RWY phot site with photos I can’t recall the web site right now .

thanks, that’s what i needed.

a little off subject, but should i dull-cote the southern units or semi-gloss them?

i started this one a couple years ago. it’s an athearn blue box undecorated SD-9 dummy unit. i started by removing the factory molded on ladders, then i cut the big step that athearn used to mold on their pilots off. i still need to put some ladders on it & couplers, but other than that I’m done. i started out going to do a light weathering to it, but my cheap airbrush has a mind of it’s own. i have never weathered anything before & this is just my second model train I’ve ever done. if the pictures are to big, i apologize, i couldn’t remember how big they could be. hope you enjoy.

If you’re still looking, I think there’s one here: http://www.rrpicturearchives.net/showPicture.aspx?id=137163
