Looking for Walthers GSC flat car parts (HO scale)

Hi,

I’m in the process of building three early piggyback flat cars in HO scale.

I know that the Walthers GSC 54’’ flat came with parts to make a flat, bulkhead flat, and piggyback flat. So I could probably just find three of these kits and use them for parts. But that is a little wasteful since I’ll have no need for the GSC flatcars themselves.

Thus I’m figuring someone out there must have a few of these flat cars cars on their roster not used as piggyback flats and still has unused parts.

I’m hoping to get the following parts for three flat cars:

  • Early piggyback fifth wheel (two styles came with the kit, I need the early one). And I’ll need 3 of the early style.
  • Bridge plates (there were two flat plates and two raised plates per car). I’ll need six of each.
  • The wheel bumpers/things along the side of the car (two per car) so I’ll need six of these

FYI, the kit calls those “bumpers/things” along the car side rubrails.

Also you mentioned bridge plates. The kit only comes with two bridge plates which are to be mounted on opposite corners of the car. They can be mounted either up or down. If you want to model them up, the kit includes two extra pieces that need to be installed, and calls those pieces bridge plate supports. If you really require a bridge plate at each corner, then you’ll need 12 total. That would mean that you need those parts from 6 kits. I don’t know if I have that many.
