Looking for Widescreen Background of BNSF or UP

I used to have a great photo of a couple of BNSF trains as my desktop background. I just bought a new Widescreen Monitor (1680 x 1050) and my background is now small photo with a large black border.
Does anybody know where I can get new photo to fit my widescreen?
I’m looking for either Union Pacific or BNSF since I see these trains almost every day. I tried to take some photos myself, but I’m not much of a photographer and I haven’t figured out how to make them widescreen…

Railpictures.net, then save. Go to desktop. Left click and go to wallpaper. Click browse and find said in " My Documents" and then click “stretch” on the right side of the wallpaper box.

Take your old background, and load it into a decent paint program. Resize it to 1680 pixels wide, then crop it to 1050 pixels tall. You can probably lose some sky or foreground without seriously deteriorating the quality of the photo. Contact me offline, and we’ll work out something.

My monitor is 1280 x 1024 - larger than my 1024x768 used to be, and taller in proportion, to boot. I had to do a bunch of cropping to get my photos to fit without stretching them out of proportion.

You can try the zoom setting on the Desktop Properties - right-click on the desktop, select Properties>Desktop>Position and try the various settings there. Hint: if you start out with the picture larger than the screen, it looks better when reduced (the “stretch” settin also reduces the picture if needed).

They have great pictures, but I could find anything in widescreen. I did find a couple that I’m going to try on work computer.

I stretched out one of the photos I got from railpictures.net and it does look a little long. At least it looks better than the black border. I don’t have anything to edit the photo with. It will work until I find something.

If you like this photo, PM me with your email address and I’ll email the photo to you. I took the photo in Castle Rock, CO.
