Looking to hire Model Train guru or model train expert

Hi,

I’m looking to hire a model train guru or expert. If you know enough about getting started and helping others learn about model trains please contact me at: john.casey.lee@gmail.com

Thanks,

J. Casey Lee

I’m curious. Why hire someone? Do you want something built or bought? Part of the fun (for me) about this hobby is trying to learn about it - by reading the magazines, browsing the websites, asking questions here. Buying a train set, setting it up and running it got me started (Lionel Ballyhoo Circus train set back in 2000).

HIRE CHIEF EAGLES he needs the money.

And he TONS of free time since he ‘retired’… LOL! I swear he works harder as a retiree than he possibly could have working full-time…

Where are you from and what is it you are trying to accomplisgh? If you are in the Virginia area I would be willing to help out for free within reason. Many on this forum are very knowledgable and willing to answer any question to the best of knowledge. And let me tell you, there is alot of knowledge going around here. Some people have different areas of expertise, mine is mostly postwar and MPC Lionel as well as prewar. I am not an electronics junky like many others.

The idea of hiring it done is getting more attractive. If I move into the mode of wanting a large (over 400 sq ft) layout, I will have to look at SMARTT or someone. I would never have the time (left) for construction.

Althogh most people don’t want to pay the price once they find out what it is, I will have to consider it if I make the move.

I have not looked into it yet, but I’m guessing $100 per square foot without the trains.
