today tracklayer sent me an email
he got me motovated
I have access to a $30,000 printer and need a eps or clipart file
I want to print a boston skyline and have been looking for sometime
now I turn to the best I turn to you
I can just walk down to the charles river and snap a photo but…
thats not the best way to get this awsome printer to spit out a file
thanks for checking out my thread

p.s mark hope you find out whats up with that computer
just copy your photos and email and reload that thing
Your are going to want a VERY high resolution digital image - a Canon 5D or equivalent 12+MP should be a starting point, with a top quality lens.
Next software, PhotoShop or PaintShopPro; either can write out the EPS file you need.
You should make several smaller prints to tweak the image to your tastes before doing the big one.
Good Luck.
hey thanks Nigel
but I was hoping to get the leg work done with a file I can just print
I did see sometime ago a website with some awsome backdrop files
steel mill’s, grain operations, and other midwest type industrial companies
my camera is only 3.2 mp guess I need to upgrade

just seemed like a good idea to use this roland xp-540 printer to make a bad a$$ backdrop
thanks for being the only one that gave a response

Just a thought - I wonder if Sceniking or Backdrop warehouse would sell you a file of the backdrop you wanted so that you could prit it out yourself.
I still want that backdrop
I even made my own city but I can see its a lot of work
looks like walthers backdrop is the way to go!
