I am looking to super detail a EMD F-9 from Bachmann…I have 1 powered and 1 dummy…in N-scale of course…anyone ever do this??I would love to see some pictures for some ideas or maybe a web-site or two?throw your 2 cents in of course…
In HO, for an F unit, you want to make wire hand rails and grab irons. Dunno if this is possible in N scale. Then you want to glaze the windows, and do something about the head lamp. You want the light to shine out the headlamp lense and NOT out the cab windows. In HO people add lift rings, radio antenna, see thru fan grills, snow plows, MU hoses and air brake hoses, Mars lights, and so on. Take a look in the big Walther’s book for N scale and see what is for sale in the F unit detail parts department.
