hey gang: I have a problem with my amtrak bodies coming loose. These cars are from the late 70’s. There are no tabs, and cannot be screwed into place without looking wrong. Anybody else run accros this, and if so, how can i correct it? Thanks again for all your previous help.

Seriously, though, I haven’t had this problem with Amtrack cars… for the simple reason that I don’t own any. I assume you mean that the shell no longer stays on the frame which holds the trucks.
I do have some old Tyco and Mantua cars that are doing the same thing. For the most part, I use a couple of drops of CA adhesive to hold them on, because I really have no reason to want to take them off. If you do (to change light bulbs, for example), you can still use the CA, but you have to be careful to avoid using too much, and you’ll need a hobby knife to the top off again.
You can also try gluing shims of styrene along the edges of the frame, The extra thickness may provide enough friction to hold the shell in place again.
