For a light rail? Really?
4 miles, $270,000,000? 67.5 million a mile? What a rip!
Bring on the trolls!
Election time?
This is Los Angeles, home of some of the most expensive real estate in the world. But $67M/mile does seem excessive.

Ya’ll need to check up on what Tucson just spent for “light Rail”.
It is hard to imagine how many utilities are buried under urban streets. I got to see some LA streets opened up when they ran new fiber optic lines to server host buildings.
I am from L.A. and this sounds very encouraging.
Just think: LA had all the rights of way and trackage and trains to the 'burbs. Then “they” let in the autos and the buses and the "free"ways, and now that they have permanent gridlock they decided to build a streetcar line and subways. Another example of greed, political interference, and short-sightedness. Amazing!
Has anyone checked on what it costs to build a mile of 4 lane express/freeway, IE 2 lanes each way. You will not do it for 67
mill a mile.
Y’all should have seen the mess under Main Street in Kansas City, MO, when they moved all the utilities to prepare for the new trolley line. Telephone, water, electricity, steam heat lines in several places, the list goes on and on. And that was just the prep work. Now the line is actually being built.
