Los Angeles voters approve streetcar funding

The Streetcar concept is really catching on in L.A. Isn’t ironic that fifty years ago, L.A. couldn’t get rid of the trolley fast enough and now is enbracing this form of transit? Looks like buses aren’t the magic panacea aftrer all.
This report is just full of “maybe’s”, and while it sounds great, will take longer by far to happen and will cost many times more than projected. I have to agree that it is ironic that LA was so eager to get rid of both the last streetcar line and the last Red Car line about fifty years ago is now so interested in resurrecting both under different names.
It worked out great in downtown San Jose when they put in the streetcar because people parked their cars once and used the streetcars to get around down town.
