Losing Power

I’m losing power in one of my turns. I’m using cab cotrol, when EVERY train reaches this block the train travels very slow, when through the turn train picks up speed again. Checked wiring and connections all are good. Any suggestions ?

Check with a voltmeter if you really get full voltage to that section. You could have a cold solder joint.

Hmm, interesting problem. Not a clue as to what’s causing it, but it does occur to me that it could be prototypical - don’t real trains slow down for sharp curves?

Maybe try adding a feeder wire to the curve. The negative being th common use the positive as the feeder. This helped on my layout.

If the power checks out ok consider how sharp and how much of the train in in the curve at any time. It may be just extra drag caused by the curve.

I suggest you take a NMRA gauge and check the distance betwteen the rails in the curve. I once had a similar problem and found that the rails had moved a minimal fraction of an inch closer together causing wheel binding and slowing down the locomotive.
