i sent my lionel 257e with tender to a supposed reputable repair facility to have a resto done on her… they have had my train for a year now and i believe they have lost it. They want to so what it takes to “make it right”. i am trying to decided what i should be trying to get. The loco i sent in had ALOT of sentimental value being my grandfathers.

Brian
PS i will not name the location, i am trying to let them rectify the situation before i blast them
Hello Brian! A year is plenty of time for a restoration job on a Engine & Tender. Let them know that if it is not returned in a reasonable amount of time that you will have to file a complaint with the State Attorney General & any train clubs that they may belong to & this may speed things up for you.& if they advertise with CTT, Let Neil or Bob know what the situation is & see if they can help you out.Hope this helps. Take Care.
Brian,
Sorry for the trouble. I see what you are saying with regard to blasting them, you can make your point, and give them the poor reputation that they seem to deserve, but you still don’t have your engine. I would tell them that you want the exact same model, fully restored, or in like new condition. Who knows, perhaps you will get your grandfather’s. In either case, you will at least have the model that was your inheritance. Good Luck, Dennis
