Any plans for an article on Lou Sassi’s new On2-1/2 Layout?
Be interesting to see what he’s been up to modeling in a different scale than HO.
Thank you
Bill

When did Lou Sassi switch to On2-1/2? Did he tear down the old Hossaic Division of Boston & Maine? First, Tony Koester tears down the Allegany Midlind, the Allen McClennen tears down the 2nd V&O. What next George Selios blows up the Franklin and South Manchester or Howard Zane buys a new house with a 5000 square foot basement and the Piermont Division as we know it is history!!
Lou’s West Hoosic Division of the B&M layout is history, torn down a year or more ago. He’s currently working on a new On2 1/2 pike depicting Maine’s SR&RL railroad as it looked back in the 1930’s.

It’s their layout to do with as they please. Tony is a big Nickle Plate fan and decided to model that, Allen retired and moved. If George or Howard decides to tear up and start over again it’s their decision to do so. These layouts have been around for a long time and interests change. Or the day comes to retire and/or move and the layout doesn’t make the trip.
Suffice to say we have books, magazine articles and videos to keep these model layouts alive. I am looking forward to seeing what Lou has been up to.
Enjoy
