I just got a Proto 2000 GP20 GN #2000 LE with DCC/Sound. I was wondering if I could replace the GN painted high-hood shell with a low-hood shell SP (the SP never had any high-hood GP20’s, so repainting isn’t an option)? Thanks in advanced!

You may have to cut weight off the high hood side to accomodate the low hood. Not sure though have not seen under the hood of one to know any better. If the weight is the same in the low hood as the high hood it should be no problem
You’ll probably need to take the body off and check. Some manufacturers who offer high and low nose versions of the same engine just use the same low-nose chassis for both.
Try for a swap of the unit or look for the low nose shell on Yahoo Group HOYARDSALE
