Does anyone know if there is a remotoring kit for the LTI PA units? The current ones can barely pull the dummy B and dummy A unit, let alone the 4 cars they came with, also the Electronic E units keep changing the speed steps so they accelerate like a rocket with the throttle just cracked open… Are there any S guage people out there with these sets that run them in AC… seems the people I talk to never run them or use DC power. I have about 12 of these Passenger sets produced from the 90’s but they run like junk…would be nice to have a powered unit with flywheels that I could interchange the shells… any ideas? thanks for listening to my frustration…[banghead]
I replaced a Lionel reverse unit with one from Dallee and it ran a lot smoother. Only problem is they are around $45. I got it thru Doug at Portlines Hobby. www.portlines.com
