Well out of my price range sadly.
Expensive, Yes, but worth every penny! It is the most smooth running engine I own and I own many nice newer top end Locos. The cab lighting is awesome at night (lights out) and the pressure guages above the fire box seem to glow. The smoke is the best I have seen in the hobby and the sound & lighting is also well done. The headlight is very bright and is fun to watch comming down the tracks through forests and over bridges. With lights on, the operating & unique valve gear is a joy to watch and the wealth of detail is appreciated. The model has excellent mechanicals and electrical pick up, suspention and axle bearings for long service life. The smoke fluid is available in a variety of fragrences. MTH is an excellent value in my opinion.

I agree it is expensive, but worth every dollar. This is by far the best steam engine I own. The smoke system is outstanding since it works with the sound of the chuff. I liked what MTH did to make the model run on 18 inch radius curves or I would not have been able to run this great model. Thanks MTH for a really nice engine!!
The detail of the Union Pacific 4-12-2 is incredible! I would hope to get one for my 50th birthday. Yes, I’m 50 and still plays with trains!
