Mac OS X compatible design software?

Greetings,

Though I get the sense that most of the forum members here are pc users I have an inquiry to make. I’m looking for a layout design software that is mac OS X compatible. Any recommendations? I had anyrail on my pc (which is conveniently 2500 miles away right now) and I really liked it but sadly it is not supported by OS X. Any input appreciated.

Hi Cahm, Google Mac OS X layout design software. You may find some that would be suitable for your needs. Rich

I’ve used the pc version.

I remember looking for it before and this is about all I found. http://www.railmodeller.com/ I haven’t looked again lately.

I have been using Empire Express by Haddon Software.

Worked quite well for me and there is a users group for it as well.

I got the xtrack cad software. Seems to have somewhat of a learning curve but I’m just scratching the surface right now.

I also use Empire Express. Not a great program, there are some definate things I dislike about it, but usable, and even runs natively in 64 bit Snow Leopard.

I’m using Railmodeller. Easy to use and low-priced.

I use Empire Express as well, it does the basics just fine.

Except for a few issues with exporting to TrainPlayer (using some elements from Peco track definitions), it works very well. I’ve been designing my new shelf layout with it. And then test running the layout using TrainPlayer.
