One of the larger and nicest train shows in the upper midwest is Madison Wisconsin’s “Mad City” train show. It is this weekend Feb 20 and 21. The South Central Wisconsin Division of the NMRA always does a nice job of running this show – it has the usual dealers and layouts and is a bit more of a swap meet feel to it than Milwaukee’s Trainfest, which is not a swap meet at all. In years past Kalmbach has had a booth. Unfortunately Keith Schmidt who usually organizes a “gathering of the clans” (Forum participants) cannot attend this year but maybe we’ll see some of you at the show. I’ll be there Saturday, with luck (remembering last year’s blizzard conditions!).
