Received the December issue of American Heritage magazine in the mail yesterday - the cover is a 1955 photgraph of a boy in an engineer’s hat with a freight pulled by a Lackawana FM. The cover blurb reads, “Lionel The Greatest Gift.” There is a 6 page article with pictures about Lionel & its association with Christmas (I got home too late to read it). I’m sure its all familar information but its nice to see toy trains in a national magazine. I’m sure there is nothing new in the article but you may want to pick up the mag to take a look - since I have a subscription I dont know when it will hit newstands and bookstores.
