Magnuson kit squish

I have an old Magnuson kit that I purchased several years ago.I stored it in my attic (not the smartest thing to do), along with other resin kits. I was able to straighten them out with help from the sun, but one wall of this one three storied structure has shrunk 3/8" in height ( perfectly proportioned ). All the other others are fine. Does anyone have a suggestion, short of casting a new wall from a good side, on how to fix this ?Than’x for your help Rile.

That’s odd. I work with casting resin in my job and I’ve never heard of something shrinking like that. If you have a wall like it I’d say make a mold and cast one, if not I don’t know. Wish that I could be more help.

Which wall is it that shrunk? Will it be visible once it is in place on the layout? If not, just replace it with a piece of styrene.

Don’t know which one you have but in old brick buildings often the rear wall was shorter than the sides or the front which had a facade with gingerbread. I suppose the reason was as a fire stop but if it is the rear wall it may be it is supposed to be shorter

You could add a foundation at the base of the wall. Did it only shrink in height, or did it also shrink in width? I’m wondering if it was always shorter, and it expected something like a loading dock along the base.

Did you wash it in cold water with Woolite like you’re supposed to? [:D]

Is it the rear wall? It would be shorter to allow for roof slope to assisit in rain run off. Do the windows,if any still line up? From top or bottom? Is it a front wall? Maybe add a facade?
