heads up for any of you who have not seen the earlier posts regarding magazine renewal or subscriptions by mail. i got two of them today from an outfit called National Magazine Services Inc. in Elmsford NY. this has been a ongoing scam under different company names and their price for RMC is $7.00 more that the publisher charges you.
a fool and his money were lucky to get together in the first place.

Remember MR does NOT use anyone but themselfs to renew
I’m glad I have long since gotten accustomed to taking Kalmbach up on the deal for MR where you renew well in adance and also sign up for Great Model Railroads and Model Railroad Planning. I in theory save a little money (assuming you do not take the time value of money into account) and I know that GMR and MRP will arrive promptly when issued. It’s become reflexive now.

There are obviously a lot of fools sending money to these con artists or they wouldn’t still be in business.
Just read your post and opened my renewal from MR that the wife left on my desk. ( At least she could have paid the renewal fee for me.) Mine is the genuine article form Mr. Besougloff himself and they include an urgent warning card in with the form telling you about the scammers. These guy have to have brass one’s to think they can get away with this sort of stuff.

It does appear as if I got peoples attention doesn’t it; I have been up here on the forum for 41 months now and sometimes screaming is necessary to make a point. The point in this case is that the readership has been inundated with these postings about these billings. Even Besougloff. MR’s editor came on the forum and informed the readership here that MR does their own billing. I don’t know about RMC or anyone else for that matter. What I do know is: ENOUGH ALREADY!!!
I was thinking the same thing about your over use of large fonts on many of your posts, not to mention your sig that takes up a half of page.
