Mainline is running!!

Just completed the mainline on the Very Short Line.

The gate worked first time, so I’m running trains again, yippee!![:D][:D]

Gate closed.

Now for some switches so when the gate is open the track power is off!! OR[xx(][xx(]

Ken.

Hey Ken, Congatulations, it’s always great to see your work coming together, when you get a train running it’s progress you can see, not like benchwork or scenary which always looks unfinished till the very end[tup]

Great Job

You have gotten this far so fast!!!

Now, the only problem is, when the trains start running, nothing else gets done after that!!!
Good luck

Your gate looks good but there is not much space! I would be afraid my locomotive would accidently derail and fall off!

Did you ever get the Soundtraxx decoder in the 4-6-2? How did that work?

Good job, can’t wait to see more!

A strip of plexiglass alongthe edge of the shelf would fix that.

Thanks guys.

Steve, your gate was the inspiration I needed thanks!!

Railroadyoshi, I still have my choares around here ( who doesn’t )

Adam, I will put a strip down both sides for protection.

Kevin, I been busy!! I have got the motor mounted and tested. Nice!! Thanks

Thanks Train 284

Little Grande man Your right on!! Cheers.

Ken.

Congratulations!! Isn’t that the GREATEST feeling? Keep it up, looks mighty fine from here.
Tom [:D][:D]

Very nice!!! One of the highlights in building a railroad!!

Thanks chaps, the gate was just kind of an experiment to see if I had the angles right. It worked first time so I’ll finish it and give it a paint.

thanks for the comments, my wee girl just loves watching trains they run right by at just over eye level for her, the best height for railfanning!!

Ken.

Ken, I am very impressed! You do wonderful work, and you should reap the rewards over many enjoyable hours.

Cheers.

Thankyou Crandell it means alot to me. It’s a wonderful feeling having ones work praised by so many.

Cheers!! Ken.

I like the layout, keep up the great work, and I would love to see more!!
Happy Modelrailroading!!
TrainsRMe:)

Boy, I like that "swooping’ upper structure on the bridge deck. Really cool! Keep up the great work!!

Ken,

That looks really good… In fact, I showed my fiancee your “layout” and she thought it was very cool. All the dark wood, the way you tied it into the room, and the craftsmanship, gave it a very finished, contempary look. She thought it was very “classy looking”.

You impressed the Woman. Good ole’ Boy! [:D]

I was just following instructions, the paint is left over from our lounge area ( which is down the other end of the L shape living, lounge, dining , kitchen open plan).

My lady likes it too so I’m allowed to leave the bridge and just remove the gate when I’m not playing.

Thanks for the comments!!

Ken.
