Major Chicago Derailment on Milw NW line..

I just saw a newscast saying there was a major derailment in Chicago on the ex Milw NW line, they said Metra will not be able to traverse the area. (That was Chicago through Elgin trackage)

The chopper footage made it look pretty bad, doubt it may be operable for tonight.

If you have friends & relatives, you may want to reach out. (I did!)

Just an FYI (going off the local news, hope they are correct)

This is where the former EJ&E now CN line crosses the MIL West line. Just watched abc 7 and some “neighbors” are expressing concerns. For the love of god can someone shut the NIMBY’S up, derailments can happen and plans are in place to deal with it.
