Somebody thought they were worth at least $95.[%-)]What do those things go for new?
$300+ ?
He’s got a Hi-Level Step Up Coach too. Apart from being absolutely beautiful, the recent Overland Hi-Level cars went for close to $500 a piece. But they had everything you’d ever want. Full interior, plating, lettering, windows, lights, etc… What’s a coach shell with upper interior worth? Looks to be $75 for now.
Maybe he built his own brass body shell??? Why not Email him and ask him instead of saying he has a “Major Malfunction”?
Never mind, I emailed him because now I’m curious.
The seller has correctly listing his items with proper descriptions, and has them at a reasonable price. Where is the malfunction?

No he doesn’t - and that question really is offensive…
brassmonger is a reputable brass dealer. I also bought from him several times, and he does great service. He regularly offers many detail parts and trucks from a variety of brass importers.
When a brass importer like OMI gets a builder to produce a run of a certain model, the importer usually orders a certain quantity. But the builder produces more parts than needed for that quantity - sometimes even produces more complete models than the ordered quantity. When the importer doesn’t buy the surplus production models/ components, then - strictly spoken - these must be destroyed. But how is able to do this… Usually the manufacturer sells them directly and without the box label from the original importer.
In this case AJIN produced some spare shells, that’s all. Some months ago another well known brass dealer had some different passenger car underframes with trucks for sale. Though it’s rare, but not that uncommon.
I guess it’s no more of a malfunction than selling a card board box for $6500…[:-^]
Sellers return email. “Dear Sir, Thanks for your inquiry. These are spare parts from Overland which I bought thier stock of same. Many Thanks,**** *****.” Hardly a malfunction, lol. I deleted the name to protect the innocent. I think I may go bid on it.
My bad on that. The auction is over.

I don’t know about anyone else, but if this is the end of this thread, I am pleased with the way it ended. It could have been a lot worse. Charlie, I applaud you for not taking umbrage with vapeurchapelon’s initial comment. Some folks would have felt the need to type a retort…not that I disagree with him. [:)]
