MAN!!! DID I GET HIGH TODAY!!!!! [big file]

About 21,000 to 25,000 feet up.

[Did not want to put this in the “Pot” as lots of photos.]

Flight plan

BTW: we were told to wear coats as it gets cold in a KC135R at high altitude. They almost melted us with the plane’s heater.

Outside the KC135R

We get to board on a boarding ramp [after several different people telling us about emergency doors, ropes and slides].

Inside [you see the seats we sat on] with Master Sgt. that was our “guide” [she has pulled a tour in Iraq].

Flying along the coast of NC.

Looks like you had a great time there Chief. I am sure you passed along great thoughts to our folks in uniform. Glad they are on our side!

Dennis

PS: thanks for sharing this.

I supposed you will want to go with me and Chuck the next time we sky dive. [:-^] Glad you enjoyed the ride, next time ask them for a night flight.

Thanks for sharing, Chief. Looks like a great adventure.

We need to take pictures, Buckeye, of our skydiving.

Chief, knowing you, you probably tried to slip some GRITS down the tube to that F15 pilot…

I’m envious!!! That was a tremendous experience! The pictures reminds me of the days I spent in the AF. Worked the flight line at Luke AFB, then of course Nam, and Thailand, then back to Luke. Those reventments aren’t the most pleasant place to work either. Still can smell the jet fumes.

Great job Chief!!

Yes, got great people in uniform. I guess all of us Vets get memories when we visit our military. I wore my dogtags while I was there.

Totally AWESOME CHIEF!!!

When is ROSEYVILLE going to send you to outer space? It’s only $200K. I’m sure they’ll pick up the tab[;)].

Glad you had a great time.

Chief - very cool! Is that a Pro-Mariner charger under the KC?

Here is Chuck skydiving:

Looks like Buckeye better keep to running trains. At least then he has flanges to keep him on track!

Chief, Looks like you were riding in luxury. All of my flights were with ANG units back in the 60’s, taking replacement engines/parts to get a stranded bird back in the air, aboard WWII leftover transports. 119’s, 54’s, etc. talk about noisey, drafty and cold.

The better half, as a result of the support of the Gaurd & Reserve that her company demonstrated during Desert Storm, got a ride on a 141. They gave all the honorees a heck of a dinner & show, low level flight & cargo drops and the whole nine yards. Her only comment was “awesome”.

That was fabulous Chief … I’m extremely happy for you . Could’nt have been offered and bestowed upon a better guy … [tup] That smile on your face in all the pictures tells just how happy and proud you were . Some girl many years ago took my original dog tags and still won’t give them back … [sigh] … her name is Jeannie … and if she ever reads this … givem back … LOL . WOW … just remembered how HOT she was … [:X] … maybe she thought I owed them to her … [:-^]
