Man hit by same train twice in 2 weeks

By JON CASSIDY
THE ORANGE COUNTY REGISTER

“IRVINE – A 57-year-old Costa Mesa man who had his hand severed by a Metrolink train two weeks ago was apparently hit by the same train again Tuesday morning, police said. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening…”

I am just going to post this and let others comment. Unbelievable![%-)]

He should take the bus.

Ya’d think that after the first time, he’d be a bit more cautious.

I wonder what “proof” his morning beverage is…

Maybe he was unconsciously re-enacting the first accident?[%-)]

Or, did he forget that there is an “out there” out there?[:-^][%-)]

He may be attempting suicide… and having last minute second thoughts about going through with it. Hopefully someone else picks up on this…not funny at all. Wouldn’t surprise me …California has been harder hit than most with the economic downturn.

No judging but if there is a video of either that may be more important. Could be some wack job likes pushing a person or …================

Hmmmm, 2 almost identical incidents and circumstances? I’d be betting a pschycological exam will be in order. Something is a tad fishy there…[%-)]

It is obvious to me that this guy is mentally ill, and possibly suffering from schizophrenia or something like that. I have a younger brother who has this disease, and I and

his brothers and sisters keep telling him that the only real friends he has are his own family members. My brother keeps letting strangers into his own apartment, people he doesn’t know, he lets them take adavantage of him and as a result he has lost a television set, a radio and money, and at one point someone walked out with his entire bed!

This guy would probably not stay away from a railroad track or a rail yard no matter how many times you tell him that he would be placing himself in danger. And I would rather see someone die of a massive heart attack rather than watch them have their legs crushed underneath the wheels of a train.

Again let us not judge yet! We have not heard of any forensic evidence. That includes any CCTV LOCO camera, eye witness on the platform, engineer, or any other person. This gentleman may be passing out from any number of physical problems including but not exclusive, diabetic coma, heart problems, mini stroke, etc. Lets wait.

And of course it is the railroads fault.

They should have to pay for that poor man’s inconvenience.

He should also be compensated for all the mental stress he will have from now on.
