I am working on an old mantua 4-4-0, the general, I need a parts unit or a couple of parts engines, just the engine, my tender is good. does anyone know where I can find some.

Try eBay - there are a lot of old General parts available there…

have been watching ebay, but thus far no luck, only complete ones or ones that are missing the same pieces, not many mantua or tyco generals

I have purchased parts from Model Power for a Mantua loco. You could give them a try as they bought up the remaining parts stock from Mantua when they went out of business. Here is a link: mantua@modelpower.com
