Mantua automatic car couplers

Hello does any one still use these? I was going through some box’s and found 3 packs of unopened kit #710 good for ho/oo for freight cars. If you would like to have them send me a pm with a shipping address and I will send them out. Thanks Frank

Man, are you dating yourself! Unless they were in a box from an estate sale, you must be nearly as old as I am (71+).

A good product in its day, but Mantua couplers always reminded me of basketball hoops. The passenger couplers were the same depth, but about twice as wide.

Not that I can say much. I have a big box full of Baker couplers, original equipment from Japanese prototype rolling stock that now has Kadee #6 couplers installed. John Allen and Whit Towers used them. I haven’t heard of any more recent users.

Hello I think they came from the old kits I buy from the train shows or they were from my dad stuff. I turned 38 this past March. I new they were old because they have a price of .35 cents. You can’t get anything for .35 cents now days. But I thought if someone had use for them they could have them. Frank

WOW! Haven’t seen them old Mantua Loop n Links in years. Yeah they look like square hoops. They worked well but looked like something out of the past.

Kadee is the best way these days.
