Manual Turnout Control

Ran across this and thought I’d share it with the peanut gallery.

These look like they would make great turnout controls for those who like that sort of thing. Less than $6/switch too. They sell extra cable and sleeve and mounting hardware too. Those throttle levers look like they would make nice control handles.

We used automotive choke cables the same way in the old days.

Yeah, that’s what I was searching for. They were all around $12. Then I ran across these with the nice handles for half the price. A couple of the mounts look really similar to the Hump Yard mounts.

Here are some ideas that may complement the suggestion. I like the use of Eurostyle terminal blockparts being used.

Looked a bit farther down the page - seems as if the ‘makins’ of a hundred linear feet of pushrod and conduit could be had for a smidge over $50 (plus tax, S&H.) Not bad, if that’s what you want.

My own system uses fishing line in tension, so I’ll pass, thanks.
