Manufacturer Loco Wish List

I know everyone is tired of polls, so here is something a little different. Pick a favorite prototype loco that is NOT in production by any manufacturer or only available in brass that you would like to see produced in plastic or die-cast. You can even pick which manufacturer you would like to produce it.

Maybe if we are lucky, some manufacturers will see the thread and take our suggestions under consideration. I am even willing to take the results and write open letters to the different manufacturers. It’s about time WE told the manufacturers what WE want rather than the other way around.

I’ll start. I’d like to see a New York Central Class F-12 4-4-0 steam engine produced by Broadway Limited.

What’s your wish?

How about a “factory painted” Alco RS3 in Southern Railway green paint scheme? Athearn is running the black ones, but none of those for me. Second choice would be high nose GP30 in Southern. I’ll take either an Atlas, Athearn RTR, Stewart, Intermountain, Kato, or P2K.

Brad

Steam. Two, first SP 4300 class Mountain w/ Skyline Casing and 16000 gal semi-cylindrical tender and second a NYC 4-8-3 Mohawk (preferable the most numerous L-2)
Diesel Proto 1K or 2K Baldwin psgr Shark
Electric from BLI, Milwaukee Little Joe in frt and psgr in original and late paint

Denver & Salt Lake 2-8-2 - Sunset did one run in brass in the late 1970s. But every standard gauge Grande modeler needs one.

Northern Pacific Z8 4-6-6-4, and the great A3, A4 and A5 4-8-4.

DM&IR M3 and M4 2-8-8-4

B&O EM1 2-8-8-4

The EM1 and M4 drive systems are very close since they were built by Baldwin.

An HO scale 1870’s 2-6-0, 4-4-0, 2-8-0 and 4-6-0.

LEGO DCC FROM ESU

LEGO SCALE LOCO FROM BLI

PRR MP54 Cummuter Electrics(pwrd & Dummy)…BLI
PRR Baldwin Passenger Sharknose Diesel…BLI

GS-4 by BLI, …oh wait, they already anounced it!!! [:D] ( well, PCM, but, same thing. )

Baldwin centipedes, sharks,CNJ double enders and Baby faces !

I would like to see Athearn produce an SDP45, in Southern Pacific. Other railroads had them too.

How about a PRR H9 2-8-0 from P2K? Also I’m waiting for Atlas to offer an Erie GP-7 with sound and DCC.

CP Royal Hudson or a CN 4-8-4 (like the one in Exhibition Park Toronto)!

Regards,

Stephen.

An FL-9 and I don’t care who makes it as long as its of P2k or Atlas quality.

Loco that I would like to see;

  1. Milwaukee Road Little Joe
  2. Unstreamlined Bi-Polar plus 1948 Hiawatha passenger set to go with it
  3. Pennsy P5a Boxcab and Modified
  4. Pennsy H9 2-8-0
  5. DM&IR Yellowstone

Eric

Ditto.

Or, any camelback, 2-8-0 or 4-6-0 or whatever.

NY,NH &H RR:
EF-1 Box Cab electric
EP-2 Box Cab electric
EP-3 Box Cab electric
2-6-0 Mogul steam
I-5 4-6-4 Streamline steam
and for Dave FL-9

Western Maryland 4-8-4 of the Potomac Class. It is availible in brass but I would pick BLI to make it. The WM Historical Society in Union Bridge Md might have the diagrams for this engine.

Baltimore and Ohio’s early Boxcabs. I probably will pick Atlas or Broadway to do it.
