Map or text descriptions of changes in Amarillo, TX rail trackage patterns from 1950 to date

Some 55 years ago I was familiar with the yard and track layout of the 3 RR’s serving Amarillo-Santa Fe, Ft. Worth & Denver and Rock Island. I have not visited the area since 1950 but would like to be brought up to date with the changes that took place after the Rock went bankrupt and after the merger of BN and the SF. And I would assume that the diversion of freight traffic to the Southern district of the SF through Amarillo as well as the addition of the freight traffic from Ft. Worth and Denver on the FW&D for the combined BNSF would have caused major changes in the handling of freight through Amarillo and in turn necessitated changes in the track patterns that existed in the 1950’s.
I would be obliged if anyone knows of any text articles and or maps that would help enlighten me on these changes and developments?

There are good articles on operations in the Amarillo and Panhandle area in the Jan 2000 and Feb 2000 Railfan and Railroad magazines. You could get those from http://www.carstens-publications.com/ or http://www.railpub.com/

The main thing that cheimbach needs to be aware of is the new connection/flyover for the ATSF/BNSF Boise City Sub to the FW&D/BNSF going south out of Amarillo. BN absorbed the CRIP trackage in town and enlarged the joint yard north of downtown. The Rock Island from Amarillo to Vega to Tucumcari is long gone.
