MARC trains set ridership record
When I was living in Maryland in the 1980’s, total ridership was under 10,000 – about 3,000 for each line. How things have grown!
Noticeable is how the Penn line - which was given much more frequencies - has had the most growth. It does make sense that better service does provoke better ridership.
They’re going well, but how about service on weekends and legal holidays and closing the gap with Septa in Delaware?
Here’s yet another piece of the nationwide uptick in commuter, transit and long-distance rail ridership. Politicians of all stripes: these riders are your constituents. Many of them even voted for you - in the election, at least.
Yah but not a single one of these riders will every hire anyone because all the politicians claim “Only rich people create jobs and hire people” and we know the rich would never go so low as to ride a train.
When did 34 + 15 add up to 54?
