Well, unless I’ve missed it, I haven’t seen the monthly thread on the current MR issue, so I suppose I’ll start it. I got mine on the 29th, 3-5 days earlier than usual. That was good since I got my MRP at least 10 days later than customers in Thailand. I haven’t read it all yet, but I have started. I really liked the article on p. 62 on the datails and working of steam engine apparati. DCC corner was helpful too. I always look forward to this column since I am still new to DCC and am on a steep learning curve.

Yes, I second that notion about the steam details being put in there. I finally got most of the answers that my Grandpa wouldn’t tell me about. He used to be an engineer with Mopac back in the days when steam was still going strong.

I hope in the future, if they havent already done so in the past, is to put more articles about steam; maybe a breakdown of a shay, and also show the inner workings of diesel/electrics, regardles of manufacturer, or type.
