OK, this might be a bit early (though I personally don’t think a weeks notice is too long)…
On the 6th and 7th of October, the NMRA Div 4 trainshow is going to be at the Berea Fairgrounds. Saturday (the 6th) the show goes from 10AM to 4 or 5 PM, and Sunday the show goes from 11 to 4 (I think). Tom (tstage) sent me the times in a email that I can’t seem to find at the moment…
Hope that there’s going to be some good deals there, and maybe we’ll get a chance to meet while we’re there. I’ll probably be there Saturday morning…
Thanks, Dan. You beat me to it. And, no, a week’s notice is not too early, IMO.
For those on the fence, Funaro & Camerlengo will be there. They usually offer 2 for 1 sales on their kits. Tichy is also usually there, although he wasn’t last year for some reason.
It’s a good show and worth going to. Cost: $6. The times that Dan mentioned are correct: Saturday 10-5, Sunday 11-4.
Take I-71S to Bagley Road and turn right. Turn Left at Eastland road, it’s about a mile from the highway. The entrance to the fairgrounds is off of Eastland Road, about 1/2 a mile from the corner of Eastland&Bagley Roads.
Heading North:
Take I-71S I-71N to Bagley Road and turn left. Turn Left at Eastland road, it’s about a mile from the highway. The entrance to the fairgrounds is off of Eastland Road, about 1/2 a mile from the corner of Eastland&Bagley Roads.
Now, these are the directions from mapquest. If I remember right, there is another entrance off of Bagley Road on the left side about 3/4 of a mile from the highway…
I’d love to attend but I’ll be in Green Bay for the Packers/Bears game. We’ll be going by Milwaukee and I may stop in at the Walthers Terminal Hobby Shop. Does anyone have any feedback on the place ? Should I bother ?
Although I haven’t been to the showroom personally, I’ve heard good things about it. If you go, let’s us know how it is. Da Bear/Packer game should be fun, too.
Hello I will be there on saturday morning I missed it last year. So I have been looking forward to this show. And this time I am putting my list over my money and hopefully I get stuff off my list first. [:D] have a good day Frank
If you see a tall, 40s-looking, ugly guy perusing the tables wearing a black New York Central T-shirt on, it’s probably me. Stop and say hi. I only bite friends, not strangers. [swg]

and anyway, won’t there be a whole lot of “40s-looking,ugly guys” perusing the tables?
I’ll be the 20s-looking guy (probably in some form of a John Carroll University T-Shirt) with a bored looking girlfriend tagging along as I watch that coal drag roll by for the 37th time [:)]. She’s actually quite supportive of me being in the hobby… except for this week, because the oval of track on my dorm room floor is “in the way” (but I digress), so maybe she won’t be so bored looking.
I guess that’s the chance that Frank will have to take. [swg]
Very true. However, you’ll notice that I singled myself out even further by specifying what color (black) and particular article of clothing (New York Central T-shirt) I would be wearing. That’ll at least narrow it down to a dozen or so. [:D]
Hey Tom don’t be so hard on your self I fit that description to. Tall 36 but look 40s must be the all gray gote but wearing a harley t shirt and not looking at my list[:D]
I’ll be there on Sunday with my grandson, probably. I’m the 60s looking guy with the blue NYC tee-shirt and the kid behind him pestering for another steam engine!
