Market Street Railway acquires second “boat tram” streetcar
One of the fun rides I have had was thru the twin peaks tunnel in a boat car many many years ago. I hope the Market St Ry will give the car the Christmas tree lite setup.
These cars must be a lot of fun to ride over the MUNI system. I wish the former Port Authority Transit here in Pittsburgh had kept its riverboat-themed excursion car. Conversion from trolley pole to catenary operation in the 90s on the remaining PCCs (and all the new LRVs) ruled out further operations.
