Marklin???

Hey Guys,

What is the deal with Marklin? Can their trains be run on LGB track? Do they run off of similar power?

Thanks

I’ve never run a MArklin engine but from what I have read on similar posts and past product reviews in GR, they will run on just about any 1-Guage track. However, I believe you need to swap out the circuit boards before running them on DC current. You could also dig out an old Lionel ZW and run them as they came from the factory, ready to run on AC.

Hi there,

Märklin now uses a multi-system decoder that allows running on either AC or DC, as well as an assortment of Märklin digital systems. Older engines may have different features!

The items will run on Code332 track - however the Code 332 turnouts are a different matter! Märklin’s track has Code197 profiles and the clearances in the turnouts are much closer than “G scale”

Hope that helps.

Never owned Marklin, dont plan on buyin any any time soon.
