Carl, I remember a recent article in CTT that mentioned them as inspiring the names of the Marx stations. There was also a letter that noted one of the factories sites was now some other sort of industrial park but Marx was still lettered on the water tower. I imagine any hint of their previous use is pretty long gone.
I recalled reading something about museums set up in or near them in Playset magazine. I checked their website, playsetmagazine.com, and found this:
The Official Marx Toy Museum, located just 1.5 miles from the Glen Dale factory in Moundsville, WV, displays thousands of Marx toys throughout five decades of production. It is a dedication to Marx toys, to Louis Marx the man, and to the many Men and Women who dedicated their lives to toy production. www.MarxToyMuseum.com
The Kruger Street Toy and Train Museum, located in Wheeling, WV, is truly a unique museum with displays featuring a variety of toy and train manufacturers throughout decades of toy production. The displays our housed in an award winning restored Victorian-era schoolhouse and features unimaginable operating train displays along with an restored railroad caboose onsite. www.ToyandTrain.com
