Maryland approves contract for positive train control equipment
How does MARC know what CSX’s final version of PTC will look like, or that it will be compatible? It seems like a premature and vain project.
MARC is to be commended for implementing PTC on it’s three lines well in advance of the mandated deadline of December 31, 2015. MARC also recently initiated weekend service on it’s Penn line in December to better serve the Baltimore-Washington corridor customers. These two efforts are indicative of MARC’s commitment to service and concern for the commuting public.
