Maryland moves forward with Purple Line light rail
I thought these cities were on the I-495 Beltway Northeast and Northwest around Washington DC.
you are correct Ian Narita. The purple line is within the D.C. Beltway in Prince Georges and Montgomery Counties. It has absolutely no relation to Baltimore.
But they are both southwest from Baltimore and totally within Maryland.
And “Carrollton” is spelled with 2 "l’s, as any good Marylander would know.
Rhode Island Trolley Trail and College Park Trolley Trail now exists.
Yup! They are Maryland suburbs of Washington DC and both are already stations on the Washington Metro. This is an outer loop line, and not a line into Downtown.
Too bad this governor didn’t also support the Red Line LRT in Baltimore as well.
