I’m in the process of building a masonite track cleaning car.
Is there a specified width to the board or should I go with what I think fits?
Thanks in advance for your input

Make the board with about a 3/16" over hang of the rails. Otherwise it may drop between the rails on sharp curves.
And bevel the front and back edges so it does not crunch into high spots on a turnout

On my masonite car, the skidder measures about 2" x 2.5". Remember, keep checking the pad underneath when you run it. Cause if its dirty, you’ll just be sliding grime over already cleaned rail.
